1. This Brown Fused Alumina is mainly used as recyclable abrasive in the blast cabinet and blasting chamber. Due to its low iron content, it is commonly used in blasting operations because blasting operations do not allow for iron contamination on non-ferrous metal substrates. It is a very hard and sharp abrasive that allows for quick cleaning. It leaves an anchoring profile prior to coating and is suitable for removing scale, rust and old coatings. In addition, it is used in ceramic grinding wheels, refractory applications as well as polishing and grinding.
2. Brown Fused Alumina is made of high-quality bauxite as the main material, with microhardness and tougher than silicon carbide. It is also a very practical advanced refractory material. It consists of a mineral and a metal part. It has a unique silicon-bonded iron portion (FeSi). It is a non-corrosive but aggressive blasting agent. Brown Fused Alumina's toughness is higher than that of silicon carbide and its refractoriness is greater than 1850 °C.
