Compact fused alumina is a high-grade refractory material with a main crystalline phase greater than 96% and a porosity of less than 4%. It has good acid and alkali resistance and good wear resistance, erosion resistance and volume stability at high temperatures.
Used in iron and steel metallurgy, petrochemical, building materials and other industries, mainly used as refractory ramming material for blast furnace tapping, casting aggregate, and also excellent material for making steel pipe long nozzle, skateboard and various corundum bricks.
Compact fused alumina is a new type of high-purity refractory raw material which is cooled by high-temperature melting in a high-purity alumina and a reducing agent in an electric arc furnace. The dense corundum main crystal phase is a-Al2O3, the color is light gray, with high melting point, relatively high bulk density and very low porosity. It has excellent wear resistance, slag resistance and volume stability at high temperature. It is the best refractory raw material in the corundum series of refractory raw materials.
