This Quartz Sand is made of high quality silica due to its high content of SiO2 and low impurities. It is suitable for the glass and ceramic industries and is a commonly used filter material in the chemical and electronics industries. It can be used to produce household and industrial cleaners to make optical fibers. It plays a key role in the production of various ferrous and non-ferrous metals. It removes impurities from cooking oils and brewed beverages. Quartz Sand can also be used in foundry and refractory materials. It can be used to spread certain mortars and as an anti-slip additive for some floor coatings, spread evenly on wet surfaces and sandwiched with the final coating after drying. It is almost circular and has a generally smooth surface. Quartz Sand is preferably used as a bottom layer in a dual media filter or as a single layer filter.
